DESCRIPTION
.NET is an ecosystem of technologies, frameworks and runtimes for building and running a wide range of applications on a variety of platforms and devices. In recent years, the community has seen .NET components used as a vector for exploitation, .NET binaries abused for living-off-the-land attacks, and .NET languages adopted for offensive security tooling. Through the eyes of one security researcher who is fascinated by all things .NET, we will take a journey through the .NET universe, discuss how .NET tradecraft has evolved, and examine new(er) attack paths that prove that .NET is here to stay…at least for now.
WHY THE COMMITTEE CHOSE THIS TALK
Jimmy is one of the most prominent Windows security guys out there. He delivers deep insights in his must-read blog and for his >12k Twitter followers. A lot of software out there uses .NET and practically every computer out there has one or more .NET versions installed.
